Yvette wishes to become an engineer so she decided to study science at school. At GS St Aloys in Rwamagana that means maths, chemistry and biology. The school is three hours drive from Kigali and the majority of it’s students are boarders. Yvette is 16 and is in senior 4. She is photopgraphed with her best friend and then with her aunt who came to visit her on the school’s open day as her mother needed to stay at home and look after a younger sister suffering from malaria.
Our local partner NOUSPR organises school visits to keep abreast of how sponsored students are progressing and offering help and encourage along the way.
